Jesus paid
your entry fees
Just like getting on the back of a bull or reaching out to grab that steer, finding salvation takes courage.
It means looking closely at yourself and you beliefs and, as an adult, overcoming the challenge of believing in something you cannot see or touch with what might require child-like faith.
Jesus was real. Beyond what we see in the Bible, he was a real, walking, talking, historical figure verified in the history books through his life and death by crucifixion.
But He was much more than just a prophet--He was the Son of God, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies of a coming savior.
And like the courage needed to compete in any rodeo sport, finding salvation means finding the courage to believe with all your heart that Jesus was the Son of God.
We must then confess to Him that we are sinners and ask Him into our lives. That gives us salvation and opens the door to Heaven when we die.
Without this, the Bible tells us we are destined for Hell, no matter how good we lived our lives; no matter how many people we have payed entry fees for; no matter how many people we have loaned equipment or horses to--accepting Christ is the only way into Heaven.
All of this is possible because Jesus was sent by God to die for our sins and so that, through bringing Christ into our lives, we could be reconciled with God.
The Bible documents the willingness of Jesus to die an agonizing death, nailed to a cross. It documents His resurrection three days later and the preparation of His disciples to spread the word of salvation to the rest of the world.
Since that day almost 2000 years ago, generation after generation of Christians have been spreading that message, helping others find Christ and invite Him into their lives.
If you can find the courage to ride a bull or wrestle a steer, can you find the courage to ask Jesus into your life?
